Catching Up

Some things never change. I am perpetually behind. October was a super-busy month, November brought a new baby, and December is crammed with stuff. When can a girl catch up?

Every weekend in October was full of soccer for Audrey and Dallin, football games, the fall festival at Audrey's school, Halloween activities, and more. Here are a few pictures from the month's fun.

Audrey actually helped carve the pumpkin this year. We went simple. And yes, her hair is pink and green - and other colors that you can't see in the back. It was "Crazy Hair Day" at school. I used Crayola markers to put stripes in her hair. (The commercial color hair spray said not to use it on fine or light blond hair. Good thing I read the directions. It took several days for the pink marker to finally come out. Imagine if I had sprayed all of her hair pink!)

In the afternoon we went trick-or-treating at a local shopping center. There was someone there painting faces; Audrey wanted a butterfly.

Dallin decided he had walked around enough that day and had plenty of candy. He opted not to trick-or-treat around the neighborhood with us. Some of our neighbors had extra-special treats for my kids; we took Dallin's back to him. Audrey and Sterling had fun walking around to all of the houses. Dallin had fun helping Melvin pass out candy to the kids who stopped at our door.
