It's Officially Nasty

The weather seems to have forgotten that old song. You know the one. "They say it never rains in southern California." Well, it has been raining almost non-stop for the past four days. We might as well be living in the Pacific Northwest!

Right now the wind is blowing hard and the rain is coming down sideways. My kids still want to go splash in the puddles. Um, sorry. Not happening. I let them splash quite often - it's fun to play in the rain. But not in this.

And when it finally stops raining, we'll have some nice mud to play with in the backyard. It'll take a good four or five days to dry out back there.

Sorry about the nasty weather! I can't wait to see the mud posts in the future. You know your kids are going to want to play in that too.

For once I can actually say...come visit us...it's roasty toasty warm here. The last few days have been in the 60's and 70's!

Yikes! You have a small pond in your backyard! The mud will be lots of fun.

wow, that doesn't look at all like your yard- maybe you guys should go for a swim.

Looks like you guys have the same drainage issues we do! Or maybe SoCal backyards just aren't meant to handle downpours. Boat races anyone? :)

I've been thinking about you guys since the weather people keep talking about SoCal. Hope you're not flooded or anything! But think of all the mud pies your kids can make... ;)

raining, eh? four days in a row, too! how about that... never knew it could rain so much, for so long. :) come visit us...it's cloudy, and foggy...overheading is not unheard of this time of year... but it's not raining though the wind is blowing and it's supposed to be in the teens... yeah, so it doesn't sound so good either, lets go to Shannys!

Funny your backyard seems to have ordered it's pool from the same place my backyard did! Funny thing, my kids wanted to go jump on the trampoline, and normally I say go for it in the rain but not this time. It was just too cold.
